Media anthropological uses of keyword ‘practices’

August 6, 2008

A few days ago I mentioned in this blog that I was using Google Book Search to investigate the uses of the word ‘practices’ and its numerous offspring (‘media practices’, ‘cultural practices’, ‘discursive practices’ etc etc – up to almost 100 different usages) in a set of four media anthropological edited volumes. Well, that didn’t take long and here is the complete set for your enjoyment and enlightenment. I’ll be using this data in the introductory chapter to Bräuchler, B. and J. Postill (eds) (forthcoming) Theorising Media and Practice. Oxford and New York: Berghahn.
